We invite you to take part in the Girls Empowering Girls program and change the life of a girl or a mother living below the poverty line in Greece. The majority of girls supported by Children First come from single-parent families. You can support the Girls Empowering Girls program by sponsoring the cost of one of the family’s needs, thus helping to relieve the mothers of their financial and psychological burdens and helping their girls break the vicious cycle of poverty. Because all women have the right to dream and claim a better future!
It only takes 2 steps to empower our female beneficiaries:
1.Select the activity you would like to fund
Select what you would like to provide for a girl or her mom in one of the areas of assistance (nutrition, education, medical care) or support a girl in all three pillars for a specific time period.
2.Spread the word!
Share the Girls Empowering Girls initiative with your colleagues and friends and share our social media posts with your own social networks so that more women can learn about the program.
In Nutrition
- A 20€ gift provides fresh fruits and vegetables to a girl for 1 month.
- A 60€ gift provides fresh fruits and vegetables to a girl for 3 months.
- A 150€ gift provides regular deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables (such as bananas, apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers, salads, broccoli, green beans) directly to the homes of 2 girls for 6 months.
- A 300€ gift provides regular deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables (such as bananas, apples, pears, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers, salads, broccoli, green beans) directly to the homes of 2 girls for 1 year.
In Education
- A 30€ gift provides English Lessons to an elementary school girl for 1 month.
- A 60€ gift provides digital education lessons to a girl for 1 month.
- A 150€ gift provides an extracurricular activity to a girl for 3 months.
- A 300€ gift provides the cost of vocational training and digital skills courses (website design, Photoshop, Illustrator, digital marketing, safety on the Internet) of approximately 50 hours in total each for 3 moms.
In Medical Care
- A 50€ gift provides a full medical checkup by a pediatrician to a girl.
- A 70€ gift provides a full medical checkup by a gynecologist to a mother.
- A 150€ gift provides one complete pediatric checkup and one dental checkup with our partner health professionals for 2 girls.
- A 300€ gift provides weekly counseling sessions with our psychologist in their homes for one girl and her mom for 3 months.
A 2000€ donation, covers everything that we provide in the areas of nutrition, education and medical care (regular food deliveries to families' homes, English lessons at a local tutoring school, one extracurricular activity, monitoring by a pediatrician and dentist, coverage of emergency medical needs, counseling sessions) for 1 girl for an entire year.
